The Muppets will be at the Oscars, but not in the way that many fans had hoped. Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy are among the star studded line-up presenting the Oscars at the 84th Academy Awards.
Perez Hilton recently started a petition to get the Academy to allow the Muppets to perform their Oscar nominated song, "Man or Muppet" at the award ceremony. The petition has over 64,800 signatures thus far which is still over 35,000 signatures away from their goal of 100,000. The presenters for the Oscars were announced yesterday and also include Tina Fey, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Penelope Cruz, Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, Hallie Berry, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Lopez, and the cast of Bridesmaids.
The 84th Annual Academy Awards will air Sunday, February 26th on ABC at 7/6c with host Billy Crystal.
